Winners of New Cumberland's "Yard of the Month" award Dale and Diane Matics of Jefferson Street, at left, are pictured with New Cumberland Mayor Will White, right. Since purchasing the old Courier Printing Co. building, the Matics have made major renovations inside and out. Their small yard is filled with rose bushes, hanging flowers and even a vegetable patch. For their efforts, they were given a plaque, a check, which they donated back to the city's beautification efforts, and a yard sign which will stay in their yard until next month's winner is announced. The project is a joint effort of the New Cumberland Volunteers and the city of New Cumberland.
