Performers for Valley's Got Talent Kid's Edition announced
STEUBENVILLE -- The list of performers vying for $500 in prize money for the second-annual Valley's Got Talent Kid's Edition Competition has been announced.
The competition will be held March 24 at the Sycamore Youth Center, located at 301 N. Fourth St., Steubenville, beginning at 7 p.m. It involves children ages 8 to 13 who live within 35 miles of Steubenville.
Admission is free to the event, which is open to the public, according to Bobbyjon Bauman, Sycamore Youth Center director.
"It will be a great evening of family fun," Bauman noted. "The talent was off the charts this year."
The performers, their ages and school represented are:

Starkdale Presbyterian Church to host two-day yard sale
STEUBENVILLE -- Starkdale Presbyterian Church, located at 4600 Sunset Blvd., will be hosting a two-day trash-to-treasure indoor yard sale.
It will be held on March 22 and March 23, both days from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Weirton Hall of Fame seeking
nominees for Class of 2023
WEIRTON -- Since 2008, the Weirton Hall of Fame has looked to honor the sons and daughters of the city who have dedicated themselves to the service of others.
After a three-year gap, the committee in charge of selecting inductees into the hall are in search of a new group of nominees for the Class of 2023.
Nominations for the Weirton Hall of Fame will be accepted through April 14. Nominees include individuals with "outstanding accomplishments" starting with the incorporation of the city of Weirton in 1947. All candidates must have resided within the city for a minimum of five years. The committee notes those having just a Weirton-based post office box do not qualify.
Nominations may be made in the following categories: Philanthropy; public service; music and fine arts; business; industry and professions; and education and religion.
Nomination forms and instructions are available on the city of Weirton's website, www.cityofweirton.com, or may be picked up at the Mayor's Office located in the Weirton Municipal Building, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton.

Plaques listing the names of previous induction classes are on display at the Millsop Community Center. Details about this year's induction class and event will be made available at a later time.
THS Employee Life Team is
rescheduling craft, vendor sale
STEUBENVILLE -- Because of colder temperatures and the potential for bad weather this weekend, as well as limited indoor space, Trinity Health System's Employee Life Team has decided to reschedule the craft and vendor sale that had been planned for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the YMCA's side parking lot.
A new date will be announced when it has been determined.
