The Church Women United, Weirton Unit, held its 2023 World Day of Prayer meeting to the theme "Pray Without Ceasing" on March 3 at First Baptist Church in Weirton. Twenty-seven women from nine churches in the Weirton area participated in the meeting featuring guest speaker Joyce Summers from St. Peter's AME Church. Her topic was "Prayer." The unit donated snacks to the Weirton Christian Center for its after-school program. At the end of the program, a luncheon prepared by members of First Baptist Church was held. The next meeting will be April 14 at the Dunbar Center in Weirton, beginning at 11 a.m.
