WELLSBURG -- Brooke Hills Playhouse will present an extra, previously announced show, at 8 p.m. June 30 and July 1.

"The Last Five Years" is a musical romance written by Jason Robert Brown and starring Bethany Fernbaugh and Lakin Weaver.

Included in Time magazine's Top 10 Everything in 2001, the show is unique in that it involves just two characters, each of whom looks back on a relationship with the other in a different way.

Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for seniors. Because the play has elements one might characterize as PG-13, no tickets are being sold for youth. It is not included in the playhouse's season passes.

For reservations or information, call or text (304) 737-3344.

A music teacher from Weirton, Fernbaugh has performed with the Ohio Valley Cloak & Dagger Company and Pittsburgh-based chamber choir Voces Solis and appeared in the playhouse's production of "Mama Mia," "The Full Monty" and as Morticia Addams, her favorite role, in "The Addams Family."

A media arts teacher from Follansbee, Weaver has served as musical director for many area school and community theater productions, including: The Rocky Horror Picture Show," "Cabaret" and "The Littlest Angel."

Accompanying the two on piano will be Roberta Fedoush of Weirton, who has lent her talents to many playhouse productions. She recently was recognized for her 25 years of ministry at Weirton First Christian Church, where she has served as music director, pianist, soloist and choir director.

The playhouse's production of "Pinocchio," featuring many local children, continues this weekend, with shows at 8 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Municipal Mutual Insurance Co. and Reasner of Wellsburg are sponsors for the playhouse's 52nd season.
