Socks, socks and more socks

1 min read

Local key clubs, including those at Steubenville, Indian Creek and Catholic Central high schools, were in a healthy competition to see who could collect the most socks throughout the month of April. Catholic Central students won the contest, where more than 250 pairs of socks were collected and donated to the Salvation Army. A literal "key" to the club and trophy were presented to winners during the Kiwanis Club's May 23 meeting. Those taking part in the award presentation include from left, Salvation Army Capt. Angie Smith; Teresa Kerker, CCHS key club president; Sarah Sharp, club adviser; and Cookie West, Kiwanis president.
