Ladies Golf
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the back nine, Monday. The play of the day was Blind Partner. The winning two-some was Yuko Atwell and Laura Froehlich. Erin Ankrum and Ruth Lamantia claimed the second-place prize.
Veronica Foldi won the prize for the long drive on hole No. 15 and on hole No. 17.
Tammy Koutsky was closest to the pin on second shot. Brenda McCloskey had the lowest putts of the evening.
Denise Augustine had a chip-in on hole No. 16. Atwell birdied hole No. 11. Froehlich, Augustine and Ankrum birdied hole No. 13.
This nine-hole league is open to all women golfers. Play is every Monday through September at Highland Springs Golf Course in Wellsburg. Tee-off is at 5 p.m. To sign up on the day of play, call the clubhouse by 3:30 p.m. at (304) 737-2201.

The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League played a weekly game of low gross June 1. Winners were: A flight, Vidas; B flight, Caputo; and C flight, Backel.

Golf League
The Cadiz Women's Golf League was hosted by Carole Patton and Judy Crawshaw, Wednesday. Play of the day was a step-aside scramble, with winners being the team of Laura Daily, Joanne Hardman and Michele Able.
Blind draw winners were the team of Tamara Dulaney and Ann Milleson. Glenda Sensel had a chip-in eagle on hole No. 1 and was the winner of the May 50/50 drawing.
Next week's hostesses will be Tracy Amos and Bonnie Beetham and play of the day will be foursomes, with pairs hitting alternate shots.
