The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club held its monthly competition July 18. This month's theme was "Sunrise/Sunset." Competition winners included from left, John Hanish, Lisa Carte and Eric Patterson. Theme category winners were: Michelle Stevens, first place; Dennis Jones, second place; and Sam Rees, third place. The open category winners were: Sharon Slokan and Eric Patterson, tied for first place; Sam Rees, second place; and Michelle Stevens and John Hanish, tied for third place. Special effects category winners were: Lisa Carte, first place; Eric Patterson, second place; and Sharon Slokan, third place. Camera club officials said anyone who has an interest in photography, whether using a camera or cell phone, are welcomed to attend the meetings. The next scheduled meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 on the lower level of the social hall at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, located at 1085 Canton Road, Wintersville.
