Club receives donations

The Weirton Steel 25-Year Club received donations from businesses throughout Weirton to assist with their annual picnic set for Saturday at the Serbian Picnic Grounds. At top, representatives from Hancock County Savings Bank presented the club with a donation. Those on hand for the presentation ceremony included from left, Assistant Branch Manager Lonna Flowers, Patty Rice, Jill Jenkins, Branch Manager Deidra Edwards, Dan Kelly, Club President Ron Baker, Perry Duckworth, Bill Walters, bank President and CEO Doug Comm, club Treasurer Brenda Ice and Ernie Nicholas. The annual picnic which was first held in 1946, is a great way for long-time steelworkers to reconnect and engage with fellow co-workers. The club volunteers its time and efforts to help other community organizations. At bottom, Tudor's Biscuit World showed its support by donating to the club.
