The New Cumberland Lions Club will have its next pulled pork takeout fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Or until the food runs out, on July 29 in the parking lot of the Swaney Memorial Library. A pulled pork sandwich, with pork being provided by Hale's High Street Kitchen at Franco's, will cost $7. Side dishes will include potato salad and baked beans at the cost of $1 each. Patrons may add one side or both to make it a meal. Bottled water and soda will be available for $1. Dates for the remainder of the summer are Aug. 26 in the Swaney Memorial Library parking lot; and at the Riverfest on Sept. 23 and 24, located on River Avenue in New Cumberland. All proceeds are used to fund Lions Club projects. Those members assisting at the events include from left, Alan Lee, Peggy Lee, Jim Wells and Liz Wells.
