Town and Country Golf

Town and Country played “Two Women Best Ball” with handicap July 20.

The following three teams scored 31: Vicki Brozka and Veronica Foldi; Kathy Antinone and Pat Zorne; and Marilyn Crew and Cathy Jackson. The winner of low putts was Brozka.

The winners of long drive on hole No. 3 were: A Flight, Lattee Chinakarn; B Flight, Zorne; and C Flight, Rose Kaczmarek. Winners of long drive on hole No. 7 were: A Flight, Antinone; and C Flight, Nancy Lelli.

Closest to the pin on hole No. 8 was: B Flight, Michele Purviance; and C Flight, Shirley Guida.

Highland Springs Ladies Golf

The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the front nine, Monday. The play of the day was N.O.S.E. The first-place winner was Ruth Lamantia, second place went to Veronica Foldi and Diane Kessler was the third-place winner.

The winner of the prize for closest to the pin on second shot, hole No. 5 was Yuko Atwell.

The winner of the prize for long drive on hole No. 6 was Brenda McCloskey. There were two birdies that round — Lamantia on hole No. 6 and Foldi on hole No. 7.

Monday’s game is par 4’s on the back nine. Tee-off is at 5 p.m. Call the clubhouse at (304) 737-2201 by 3:30 p.m. on the day of play to sign up.

Spring Hills Ladies Golf

The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League’s play of the day on July 20 was Count Only par 4’s on the front nine.

The game’s winners were: A flight, Cyndi Vidas; B flight, Neysa McCart; and C flight, Michelle Vukelic.

Long drive winners were: A flight, Vidas; and B flight, Brenda McCloskey.

Closest to the pin winners were: A flight, Vidas; and B flight, Linda Caputo. Low putts winner was McCart. Winner of the 50/50 drawing was Caputo.

Cadiz Women’s Golf League

The Cadiz Women’s Golf League was hosted by Laura Daily and Janis Cook on Wednesday.

The play of the day was low score on par 4’s. Winners were: Brenda Hartley, first place; Janis Cook, second place; and Sherry Sapon, third place.

The putt winners were: A Flight, Cook; B-Flight, Hartley; and C Flight, Denise Augustine.

The following women had birdies: Laura Daily, Tracy Amos, Kathy Newburn, Roberta Cireddu, Marilyn Kenny, Paula Hope, Sapon and Kathy Smith.

Glenda Sensel and Sapon had chip-ins.

Next week is round one of the women’s championship. It will be hosted by Donita Rush and Jan Shultz.
