John Colesante was a 1964 graduate of Madonna High School who died in 2019 after having lived a life of Christian values. He became disabled in 2009 and gave away most of his income to those in need, even though he struggled with his own bills. His classmates began helping him financiallyand continued to do so following his death. The John Colesante Memorial Scholarship was formed, with recipients exemplifying the same Christian values Colesante had. Jim Pauchnik, left, serves on the committee to manage the donated funds. This year's recipient for the award was Anthony Arnold, who will attend Franciscan University of Steubenville in the fall.
