Wintersville continues Wednesday celebration

1 min read

Wednesdays in Wintersville made its return last week with a carnival theme and a variety of entertainment at the Village Building parking lot and Wintersville United Methodist Church's Center for Hope. Among the entertainment was the Pittsburgh jazz band, Jimmy Z, above. At right, vendors displayed and sold their homemade craft items, including Judy Schmidt, left, president of the Steubenville Art Association, and her granddaughter, Natalie Wood. Schmidt creates hand-painted jean jackets in various designs and styles in several different sizes. The event featured a car show, below, in which community residents had the opportunity to display their antique, prized cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors. Among those attending the car show was Judi Damis, who participated with her 1932 Ford Coupe. Wednesdays in Wintersville will wrap up its season Sept. 6. The next event will center around the theme of homecoming and local marching bands will perform, according to organizers.
