Fidelis Gamma members discuss fraternity education

By Staff reports 2 min read

STEUBENVILLE -- The Fidelis Gamma Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators met at Froehlich's Classic Corner Sept. 7 with President Diane Higgins presiding. Members entered a meeting room decorated with a sunflower theme. Higgins welcomed those in attendance and recognized members who have been missing due to illness or accidents. The "thought for the day" was given by Chaplain Bonnie Queses. She shared "Gift of Love" which included the moral of beauty. She then provided the prayer and blessing. Minutes were presented by Ruth Fuller and approved.

Treasurer Carolyn Allison gave the financial report. Allison will send a Visa gift card to the international teacher educator, and Eileen Snyder will include a postcard picture of the Chester teapot display, officials stated. Higgins presented the issue of fraternity education, asking each member to share the number of years they've devoted to teaching and how many schools each had taught at throughout the years. Shirley Washam volunteered to be chairman of Alpha Delta Kappa Month.

Fuller thanked members collecting newspaper articles and reminded members she would send an email notice for each meeting. Greeting cards were circulated and signed for "Sisterly Concerns." Those having a September birthday were recognized, including Donna Roman and Snyder. Hostesses were Allison, Fuller, and Eileen Snyder.
