FOLLANSBEE -- The International Senior Club met Aug. 8 at Follansbee Park. Pat Cappa led the prayer and President Regina Truax led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Members joined in the singing of "God Bless America."
A picnic luncheon with dessert followed. Members brought a covered dish and desserts while the club provided the main meal and drinks. Members enjoyed a day of food, fellowship and fun activities, according to organizers.
Truax welcomed members and their guests, who included Pat Cappa, Tom Beecroft, Joyce Dobbs, Mary Ellen Grooves, Marlene Dunn, Linda Stankiewicz and Albert Veltri.
The club discussed the upcoming bus tours: Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees, PNC Park, Sunday; Seneca Niagara Falls Casino, Niagara Falls, Sept. 20-22; MGM Casino, Northfield, Oct. 13; Rock and Roll Doo Wop 23, starring Herman's Hermits, Capitol Theater, Wheeling, Oct. 21; Oglebay Festival of Lights, inlcludes shopping, dinner at Wilson Lodge and touring the lights, Wheeling, Nov. 17.

The 50/50 was won by Josie Elliott. Members celebrated by playing various bingo games. Prizes were awarded to winners.
