The Weirton Madonna High School Class of 1973 celebrated its 50th reunion Aug. 19 at Al's Community Room in Weirton. The celebration began with an ice-breaker, hosted by Paul Virtue, Kenny McNeil and Rich Gill. The event took place Aug. 18 at the home of Kurt and Renee Virtue in Wintersville. The celebration continued with the reunion in which out-of-town classmates traveled from California, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Teachers in attendance were John York, Mike DelRe, Rich Mahoney and Frank Lokmer. Classmates attending included from left, front, Susan Markowicz Beadling; second row, Frank Przybysz, Monica Lagod Gable, Connie Cavalet Milbert, Marlene Julio Lastoria, Georgeann Charnie Callinan, Bonnie Bartek Yoder, Donna Demarco Zahn and Debbie Buracchio Taylor; third row, Dan Beadling, Kenny McNeil, John Williams, Annie Patrizio Hilliard, Tom Grossi, Ron Cercone, Greg Lastoria, Rich Gill, Louis Bernardi, Dom D'Aurora and Lauren Enrietti Maslov; fourth row, Bill Wallace, Rich Hirkala, Dom Gaudio, John Jonczak, Paul Virtue, Andy Perhacs, Joe DiAntonio, Bill Burch, John Capriotti and Gregg DeSantis. The next reunion will take place in 2028, classmates said.
