Retired school employees luncheon

Storytelling guild set for Saturday
WHEELING -- The West Virginia Storytelling Guild and Oglebay Institute are presenting "Tellabration," a free storytelling concert at 2 p.m. Saturday at OI's Towngate Theater, located at 2118 Market St.
Sponsored by Main Street Bank, five members of the guild will present a variety of family-friendly stories for audience members of all ages. The event is free. Performers donate their talents as a way to thank the community for their support.

Jewett to hold craft show
JEWETT -- The 53rd-annual Jewett Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 25 at 208 W. Main St. in Jewett.
Organizers noted there are 76 tables of crafters that are setting up in the Jewett volunteer fire department, as well as a 40-by-100-foot tent. Parking is free and admission will be $2. A food stand will be available for guests to purchase items. Officials stated more crafters will be located at the Harrison Hills Church. These events are in support of Small Business Saturday, officials said.
Free books available for pre-schoolers
FOLLANSBEE -- Children under 5 may be eligible to receive a free book each month from the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
With the local support of the Brooke County Public Libraries, along with assistance from the Wellsburg Elks Lodge and the Brooke-Hancock Family Resource Network, families can go online and visit the website imaginationlibrary.com/check-availability for eligibility information.
Upcoming events at the library
STEUBENVILLE -- The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County will be featuring a Nutcracker Story Walk on Fourth Street. This event will take place between Nov. 21 and Jan. 6.
Stop by the Main Library or Leonardo's Coffeehouse where treasure maps will be available. Those picking up a map will hunt for the book's pages among the nutcrackers, officials explained. Then, return the map to the Main Library where children will receive a special holiday surprise.
A Harry Potter grab-and-go craft will be available at all library branches beginning Nov. 20. The will be available while supplies last. Each bag contains supplies to paint a dragon egg.
