The Weirton Senior Center, located at 3425 Main St., is continuing to hold its monthly dances. In addition to a disc jockey playing favorite musical selections, the events offer the opportunity to dance, enjoy a meal, take part in drawings and enjoy the friendships made with other patrons at the center. Among those taking part at the previous dance, were clockwise from left, Jack Cassella, JoAnn Kerr, Ilene Martin, Karul Rudy, Walter Waite, Eva Martin and Rosemond Martin. The next get-together will be a Christmas dance, officials stated. The celebration will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 7. Those attending will have the opportunity to participate in a Chinese auction, where prizes will include gift cards to local businesses. The cost for a ticket will be $1 each, six for $5 or 15 for $10. Those planning to attend are asked to bring a covered dish to share with the other guests.
