NEW CUMBERLAND -- The New Cumberland Lions Club held its December meeting, which was called to order by First Vice President Sally Greathouse.
Rick Tinsky offered the opening prayer, after which members, along with their guests, enjoyed a dinner and entertainment.
The members brought non-perishable food items that will be donated to the local food closet. Door prize drawings provided gifts for 10 attendees.
The evening's musical entertainment was provided by Wellsburg resident Marvin Whiteman.
Officials explained that Whiteman has several CDs as well as many videos from his past performances at the Christian Church of Wellsburg. The videos can be found on his Facebook page, by visitingfacebook.com/wccwv. Whiteman's musical entertaintment has been performed for those throughout the Ohio Valley. The meeting concluded with members expressing their appreciation to Joyce Young and Greathouse for putting together an enjoyable evening.
Continued prayers were then offered for the club's president, Pam Stiles.
