Wild Sycamore Farm's Meg Krivoniak spoke to those gathered in the third-floor ballroom of Leonardo's Coffeehouse. Krivoniak's presentation, "Nourished Kitchen: Scratch Cooking with Local Ingredients," was the second in a four-part speaker series entitled, "Real Food and Real Community." The event was hosted by the Healing Land, a Jefferson County-based naonprofit that educates on regenerative farming practices. The 55-acre farm in Bloomingdale provides Krivoniak and her family with the majority of their food. She provided her audience with tips on cooking naturally-sourced, nutrient-rich food. The third portion of the speaker series will take place at 7 p.m. March 21 at Leonardo's. Marc Barnes, co-owner of Steubenville Grocery Box, will speak on the topic, "How to Support Your Local Producers."
