In the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, the Brooke High School chapters of Future Business Leaders of America and Interact held their annual Soup'er Bowl Fundraiser in which students, staff and community members donated 239 cans of chunky soup for Bruins Helping Bruins, a food pantry based at the school. Sixty cans were donated by the Brooke County Rotary, of which Interact is a youth auxiliary. Gift cards and a chance to park in the principal's parking space were awarded to the top donors. Seen with some of the many donations are, from left, front, Stephie Barney, Ava Shane, Alyssa Jezierski, Johnna Lahita and John Baricska; and back: Jerry Simpson of the Brooke County Rotary, Adam Haught, club adviser; and Chad Haught, club adviser.
