The GFWC Jefferson County Woman’s Club invited the Indian Creek Middle School Junior National Honor Society to join them in a “Socks for Seniors” project. More than 180 pairs of new socks were collected by the school and members of the club. St. Patrick’s Day card messages were attached to the socks and distributed to residents at the Laurels of Steubenville and the Capital Health and the Meadows in Cadiz. Students in Adviser Cathy DiBenedetto’s class and those joining in the cause included, from left, front, Dylan Komanych, Kyler Snyder, Keeley Johnson, Alec Stevens, Kacey Walenciej, Gianna Peivich, Quinn Ujich and Sawyer Pietro; and back, David Pawelczyk, Yarentzi Hernandez, Mia Andreozzi, Kyla Chamberline, Sofia Randazzo, Ashlynn Nezum, Cali Heck and Layton Evans. Those in the woman’s club thanked Principal Holly Minch-Hick.
