By Staff reports 1 min read

STEUBENVILLE -- Franciscan University of Steubenville's Anathan Theater will present "Life in Color: A New Musical," at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and April 12-13. The musical drama also will be performed at 2 p.m. Sunday and April 14. All shows will take place in the Anathan Theater at Egan Hall.

Franciscan student AmyLynn Miller wrote, directed and composed the music for the musical, which tells the story of a passionate young woman named Mona.

Burdened by abandonment in her past and weighty responsibility, she is determined to prove she can make it on her own at art school. But when she is accused of art fraud and faces the demise of all her dreams, her brother, Charlie, and roommate, Kathleen, must help Mona see that imperfection and failure are just as vital to life as relationship and community are.

With an ensemble of singers and dancers, "Life in Color: A New Musical," is a heart-rending story that asks what we let ourselves be defined by.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is free for religious and children under 12.
