The Order of AHEPA Hancock Chapter No. 103 held its 98th-annual business meeting and election of officers ceremony on Tuesday at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Hall in Weirton. Twelve members were recognized by President Nick Proakis for their years of service to the organization, ranging from 25 years to 50 years. Members elected to a term running from July 1 through June 30, 2025, and those who received awards for their dedicated service to the chapter, included clockwise from top left: Proakis, left, AHEPAN of the Year Award, presented by Nick Tranto; Treasurer Harry Brown, left, AHEPAN of the Year Award, presented by Steve Psaros; and newly-elected officers, from left, Ernie Nicholas III, treasuer; James Makricostas, first vice president; Rodney Summers, second vice president; James Antoniou, president; Gary Mastromichalis, secretary; and Pete Kohelis, financial secretary. Those elected to serve on the board of governors included John Porco, Max Flinn, Tranto, Dean Harris and Proakis. Proakis will serve as chairman of the board.
