STEUBENVILLE -- Join the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County for its summer reading program, "Adventure Begins at Your Library."
The program runs from June 10 through July 27 at all library locations and on the Bookmobile.
The event is for people of all ages. Read and attend various library events to earn chances to win prizes.
Children can choose from items such as a smart TV, bikes or a telescope. Teens could be eligible to win a Nintendo Switch and adults could win a gift card to use at the Carnegie Science Center.
The library will have giveaways on its Facebook page, plsjlibrary.

Go Fish at 1:30 p.m. June 10 and learn the basics of fishing, including how and where to fish with instruction from the Ohio State University Extension office. All ages are welcome to attend and practice using rubber hooks. Register to attend.
Meet Johnny Appleseed, as portrayed by Ken Hammontree at 3 p.m. June 12. All ages are invited to attend and learn about the legendary man who planted more than 1,000 acres in apple trees. Register to attend.
"The Importance of Being Earnest," by Oscar Wilde will be directed and performed by the Poor Players of Steubenville during the weekends of June 14-16 and June 21-23. Doors will open at 6 p.m. This elegant, turn-of-the-century comedy about mistaken identity and high society will have you in stitches. Each performance includes catering and wine. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at the Steubenville Grocery Box.
Adults: The Cozy Mystery Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. June 14 to discuss "Cat Me if You Can," by Minranda James. Register to attend.
Children: Make an adventure vest complete with badges, as children complete each week of the summer reading program, beginning June 10. Available while supplies last.
Children ages 4 to 11 can make herbal playdough at 2 p.m. June 15. Register to attend.
Ventriloquist and juggler Mark Hemmelgarn will entertain children at 3:30 p.m. June 10. Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first-served basis.
