BPW awards scholarships during annual dinner

STEUBENVILLE -- Members of the Ohio Valley Business and Professional Women's Club held their annual scholarship awards dinner May 21 at Scaffidi's Restaurant and Tavern.

Due to the success of the club's popular Wine and Shoe Extravaganza, held in April, BPW officials were able to award two additional scholarships this year, bringing the total of recipients to six. 

The nominees, along with their families, attended the dinner alongside Woman of the Year recipient Michelle Miller and fellow nominee Kristen Wheeler.

Scholarship Chair Sara Lane recognized this year's nominees and presented them with their awards.

Each was congratulated for their accomplishments and accolades.

Riley Fisher from Toronto High School and Kameron Rosak of Oak Glenn were awarded Ohio Valley BPW Scholarships.

Grace Browning of Edison High School received the Puskarich Scholarship, donated by members Deb and Brandy Puskarich of Puskarich Accounting.

Samantha Ankrom from Buckeye Local High School was awarded the MaryAnn Donnelly Memorial Scholarship and Nyah Dunburg-Ingram was awarded the NIKE Scholarship.

The Non-traditional Student Scholarship was presented to Hannah Giordano, who will be returning to school to pursue a degree in drafting and design.

Megan Presley concluded her year as president and will return for a second year in September when meetings resume.
