The Cedar One Charity Committee is sponsoring its fifth Hot Dogs for Homes fundraiser for the Jefferson County Humane Society and Jefferson County Animal Shelter. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Bella Hall, located at 2728 Sunset Blvd. All proceeds will go to the nonprofit. The public is invited to participate. Guests will receive a free hot dog meal in exchange for their cash donation or a donation of shelter and clinic supplies, including dry or canned kitten food, KMR powdered kitten milk replacer, scratching posts, cat beds, non-clumping cat litter, heating pads, paper towels, H.E. Laundry detergent, kitchen-size garbage bags, Clorox Bleach and Clorox Wipes. Bags of cat and dog food are needed, as well. Cedar One representatives, including house legal counsel Joe Corabi, met with development manager Brandi DeNoon-Damewood, explaining the events, such as cornhole, a can jam, face painting, a dunk tank and a "Smooch A Pooch" pet photo booth. Cedar One thanked its partners, Steel Valley Contracting and Maintenance, the Jefferson County Humane Society and Hancock County Savings Bank.
