The American Legion Post 33 Ladies Auxiliary held its annual Memorial Day ceremony May 26 at the Steubenville Marina. In addition to area residents, Steubenville Mayor Jerry Barilla was in attendance, along with several members of the city's police and fire departments and Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla. The traditional tossing of the wreath into the river was conducted as a way of remembering fallen war heroes.
