Spring Hills Ladies Golf
The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League played its weekly game May 30. Play of the day was "Subtract Your Putts from Your Total Score," on the back nine.
The winners were: Cyndi Vidas, first place; Yuko Atwell, second; and Tammy Koutsky, third.
Long drive winners were: Vidas, A Flight; Koutsky, B Flight; and Linda Caputo, C Flight.
Winners of closest to the pin in two, were: Dru Fleishour, A Flight; and Ruth Reese, B Flight.
Low putts went to Fleishour and the 50/50 drawing was won by Atwell.
Highland Springs Ladies Golf League
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played the back nine Monday. The play of the day was, "Blind Partners." The team of Yuko Atwell and Vickie Grant tied with the team of Erin Ankrum and Denise Augustine for top honors.
Brenda McCloskey won the prize for closest to the pin on second shot on hole No. 14.
Ruth Reese took the longest-drive prize on hole No. 15.
Augustine had the lowest putts of the evening. She also had a chip-in birdie on hole No. 17. Ankrum birdied hole No. 13.
This nine-hole league is open to all women golfers.
Play is held each Monday from May through September at Highland Springs Golf Course in Wellsburg.
Tee-off time is at 5 p.m. Those interested can call the clubhouse at (304) 737-2201 to sign up by 3:30 p.m. on the day of play.
Cadiz Women's
Golf League
Roberta Cireddu and Cathy Jackson hosted the Cadiz Women's Golf League Wednesday.
The play of the day was "Low Net." First place was won by Glenda Sensel.
Second- and third-place finishers were determined by a scorecard playoff between Cireddu Donna Griffin. Cireddu won second and Griffin, third.
Low putt winners were: Kathy Smith and Cireddu, A Flight; Griffin, B Flight; and Sensel, C Flight.
Brenda Hartley had a chip-in; Kathy Newburn had a Birdie; and Griffin had a chip-in birdie.
Next week, the play of the day will be "Blind Partners." Hostesses will be Sherry Sapon and Angie Sapon.
