BRILLIANT -- During the monthly meeting of the Brilliant Lions Club, former president and First Vice President David Porter, presided over the meeting in the absence of President Butch Ford. The meeting took place in the Brilliant Lions Club Hall.
A prayer was given prior to business by Assistant Treasurer Don Hutchinson.
Minutes were read by Secretary Tom Connell. Members approved the minutes.
A new member list with telephone numbers was distributed by Treasurer Ron Retzer.
A suggestion was made to get local dignitaries, as well as club members, to attend monthly meetings and speak to those in attendance. Some of the suggestions included the village's police chief, Jefferson County Sheiriff Fred Abdalla Jr., and various businessmen and women throughout the community.
Susan Nolan was in charge of the buffet dinner.
