The Sycamore Youth Center's mobile food pantry is continuing to help area youths who are in need of assistance. Every Friday, the summer food program visits six sites throughout Wintersville and Steubenville, delivering a bag of food to those 18 years of age and younger for the weekend. Helping to deliver those meals are students involved in the Sycamore Service Corps. They, too, receive help delivering the food from other young members of the community wanting to do their part to help. Together, the group has handed out more than 500 shelf-stable meals at the following sites: Ridgewood Place Apartments, Briarwood Apartments, both in Wintersville; and the Elmer White Family Units, Earl Rogers Plaza and the corners of Rosswell Avenue and Maryland Avenue in Steubenville. For information about the program, contact Bobbyjon Bauman, director of the Sycamore Youth Center, at (740) 409-2986.
