HAMMONDSVILLE -- The Edison Local School District has announced its lunch policy for the program year 2024-25.
Those students who are unable to pay full price will be served lunch under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast program. The cost will be $3 for secondary school lunches and $2.75 for elementary meals.
Each school office, along with the central office, will have a copy of the policy. Any interested party can review the policy.
The federal income eligibility guidelines will be used to determine qualification. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the federal guidelines are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals.
Children who qualify for the reduced meal rate can receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the 2024-25 school year, officials explained.
Application forms will be distributed to all homes in a letter to the parent or guardian.
To apply for free or reduced-price benefits, households need to complete an application and return it to the school.
Additional copies will be available in the principal's office at each building. A complete application is required.
