Town and Country Ladies Golf
The Town and Country Ladies Golf League met July 11 for a two-women "Best Ball" tournament.
The winning twosome was Pat Zorne and Toni Dondzila.
Coming in second was the team of Dorothy Baire and Kathy Antinone.
Winners of the longest drive on hole No. 3 were: Veronica Foldi, A Flight; Debbie Hendricks, B Flight; and Shirley Guida, C Flight.
Winners of the longest drive on hole No. 7 were: Lattee Chinakarn, B Flight and Michele Purviance, C Flight.
Winners of closest-to-the-pin on hole No. 8 were: Baier, A Flight; Zorne, B Flight; and Norma Henson, C Flight.
Laura Froehlich won low putts, with 17.
Spring Hills Ladies Golf League
Members of the Spring Hills Ladies Golf League participated in the group's play of the day "Best Drive, then Play Your Own Ball," on the back nine July 18.
The winners were: Ruth Reese, A flight; Janet Backel, B Flight; and Tammy Cox, C Flight.
Winners of long drive were: Cyndi Vidas, A Flight; Linda Caputo, B Flight; and Michelle Vukelic, C Flight.
Those who won closest to the pin in two were: Reese, A Flight; and Backel, B Flight.
Those who had chip-ins were: Reese, A Flight; and Backel, B Flight.
Lowest putts was won by Backel.
Cadiz Women's Golf League
The Cadiz Women's Golf League held its annual Guest Day Scramble Wednesday. The league had 60 women participate in the event.
The team of Glenda Sensel, Tiffany Sensel, Jane Galigher and Taylor Galigher won first place, with a score of 64. Coming in second with a score of 65 was the team of Michele Merritt-Abel, Michelle Anderson, Leanne Straub and Cait Garmen.
Prize hole winners included the following: Closest to the pin, Cindy Montgomery; closest to the flamingo, Angie Sapon; and longest drive, Montgomery.
Closest to the pin was won by Vicki Brozka.
The winner of the longest putt was Jane Tarr. The winner of closest to the line was Brozka.
The scramble was followed by a luncheon where drawings were held to win one of 11 gift baskets. There also was a 50/50 drawing.
Next week's play of the day will be "N.O.S.E.," in which players only county the holes which begin with the letters in the acronym.
Hostesses will be Kathy Smith and Carol Lepic.
