Auxiliary to hold jewelry sale

WEIRTON — Volunteers with the Weirton Medical Center Auxiliary will hold a $5 jewelry and accessories sale Sept. 4-5. The money raised from the merchandise will go toward the hospital, organizers stated.

The sale will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 4 and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 5. The fundraiser will be held in the medical center atrium, located on Colliers Way.

Meet the candidates night

WEIRTON — All candidates who are registered Democrats, including state, federal and local, have been invited to attend a meet the candidates night.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs of B4 Burgers and Grill, formerly T. Kosciusko Hall. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided. There will be several door prizes awarded and a 50/50 drawing.

The Democratic committees noted all Democrats are invited to attend the event and join in welcoming the candidates. Attendees will have the opportunity to listen and learn about everyone’s platform.

Woman’s club to hold first meeting

STEUBENVILLE — Members of the Woman’s Club of Steubenville will hold their first meeting of the new year at 1 p.m. Sept. 5 at Steeplechase, located off of Lover’s Lane.

The meeting will cover information regarding the new season and discuss any new information that has taken place since the group’s last meeting earlier in the summer.
