Cathie Brenda Yeager, outreach chairperson at the First Christian Church in Weirton, presented a donation of school supplies to Weirton Elementary School. The donation was given by members of the church's congregation. The church annually supports the elementary's Backpack Resource Fair, held prior to the start of a new school year. This year's fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the school. The First Christian Church congregation, along with the Rev. Mark Mayer, say they are always happy to help students as they begin another school year.
