Officials at the Sycamore Youth Center thanked everyone involved in making this year's Sycamore Summer Fun Camp a successful event. The camp had 53 volunteer leaders who dedicated a week of their time to sharing the love of Christ with children throughout the community. Executive Director Bobbyjon Bauman stated the leaders did "a phenomenal job," enlisting to help with "the best camp ever." At top, approximately 150 youth participated in the week-long event, taking place Aug. 5-Friday. Those enrolled in the camp were involved in STREAM classes, arts and crafts, outdoor recreation, music and Bible stories, learning about Peter and Moses. J.R. Lawrence Lewis spoke with students in class, and performed a rap-related song, with officials saying the children "loved his presentation." Activities included creating colorful bracelets, building various shapes such as crosses, and playing different outdoor games.
