Town and Country Ladies Golf

The Town and Country Ladies Golf League played a game of T and F Aug. 22.

Play consisted of counting only the holes which begin with the letters T and F, including holes two, three, four and five.

The winners of the event were: Laura Froehlich, A Flight; Diane Vandine, B Flight; and Toni Dondzila, C Flight.

Winners for the longest drive on hole No. 3 were: Froehlich, A Flight; Marilyn Crew, B Flight; Michele Purviance, C Flight.

Winners for the longest drive on hole No. 5 were: Froehlich, A Flight; Pat Zorne, B Flight and Norma Henson, C Flight.

The winners of closest to the pin on hole No. 8 were: Veronica Foldi, A Flight; and Dora Elizaga, C Flight.

Vandine had low puts for the day with 16.

Spring Hills Ladies Golf League

The Spring Hills Ladies Golf League played the first round of its league championship, playing the front nine on Aug. 22.

Those who are leading in the first round are: Cyndi Vidas, A Flight; Ruth Reese, B Flight; and Tammy Cox and Janet Backel, tied for C Flight.

The winners of long drive on hole No. 5 were: Vidas, A Flight; Reese, B Flight; and Backel, C Flight.

The winners of closest to the pin on hole No. 8 were: Vidas, A Flight; Brenda McCloskey, B Flight; and Cox, C Flight.

Neysa McCart had a chip-in.

Low putts was won by Reese.

McCart won the 50/50 drawing.

Highland Springs Ladies League

The women of the Highland Springs Ladies League played a scramble on the back nine Monday.

The winning team was Erin Ankrum, Yuko Atwell, Ruth Reese and Carmela Wallace.

Reese had a chip-in on hole No. 12. She also had the longest drive on hole No. 18.

Laura Froehlich was the winner of closest to the pin on her second shot on hole No. 14.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no league play scheduled for Monday.

Cadiz Women's Golf League

The Cadiz Women's Golf League's play of the day on Wednesday was "N.O.S.E."

Hostesses for the event were Kathy Smith and Carol Lepic.

The play of the day winners were: Donita Rush, first place; and Jan Shultz and Lepic, second place.

Low putt winners were: Marilyn Kenny and Kathy Newburn, A Flight; Yuko Atwell, B Flight; and Rush, C Flight.

Roberta Cireddu had an eagle and a chip-in.

Atwell had four birdies and a chip-in.

Judy Crawshaw and Shultz had chip-ins.

Shultz, Denise Augustine and Kenney had birdies.
