The Biasi-Shuma Memorial 5k Run/Walk event held Aug. 10, raised money for the United Way of Jefferson County and the Ohio Valley Heart Association -- two causes which help many people throughout the Ohio Valley. Mike Biasi, far right, and members of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto, presented a $10,500 check to the United Way during a recent luncheon. "We are always happy to give back to our community each year," Biasi stated. "This year, we donated our most significant amount, more than $22,000, to the United Way of Jefferson County and the Ohio Valley American Heart Association. We are excited to continue this partnership for years to come and look forward to making another donation following our 2025 race."
