Cadiz Women's Golf League
The Cadiz Women's Golf League held its annual Solheim Cup Sept. 18.
The Red Team defeated the Blue Team by a score of 8-7 after a hard-fought battle, coming down to the last two teams on the last hole.
Red Team members included, Cathy Jackson, Kathy Smith, Tracy Amos, Yuko Atwell, Roberta Cireddu, Kathy Newburn, Carol Lepic, Sandy Terek and Linda Tyson.
Blue Team members included, Denise Augustine, Marilyn Kenny, Sherry Sapon, Brenda Hartley, Pat Stewart, Bonnie Beetham, Kim Ochsenbine, Donna Griffin. Other members were Jan Schultz and Diane Berardinelli.
Highland Springs Ladies Golf
The women of the Highland Springs Ladies Golf League played an 18-hole Scramble Sept. 21.
The winning team consisted of members Yuko Atwell, Janet Backel and Neysa McCart.
The winner for the longest drive on hole No. 6 was Tammy Koutsky.
The winner for closest to the pin on second shot on hole No. 14 was Atwell.
The women met afterward for a meal at Breezy Heights Tavern.
The league played the front nine on Monday, where the play of the day was "Blind Partners."
Laura Froehlich and Koutsky were the winners. The winner for the longest drive on hole No. 3 was Atwell. The winner of closest to the pin on second shot on hole No. 5 was Erin Ankrum.
Koutsky had the lowest putts for the round.
Town and Country Golf League
The Town and Country Golf League held its final Medal Play event Sept. 19 at Spring Hills Golf Course.
The winners of low gross were: Veronica Foldi, A Flight; Marilyn Crew, B Flight; and Nancy Lellie, C Flight.
Low net winners were: Vicki Broska, A Flight; Dora Elizaga, B Flight; and Toni Dondzila, C Flight.
Winners for the longest drive on hole No. 1 were: Diane VanDine, A Flight; Pat Zorne, B Flight; and Michele Purviance, C Flight.
Winners for the longest drive on hole No. 6 were: Kathy Antinone, A Flight; Debbie Hendricks, B Flight; and Dondzila, C Flight.
Winners of closest to the pin on hole No. 4 were: Crew, B Flight; and Purviance, C Flight.
Rose Kaczmarek had low putts for the day, with 17.
The next play will be the ladies' final scramble of the year.
