First responders from the Mingo Junction police and fire departments, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, met with Hills Elementary School pupils Wednesday. Officials shared lunch with small groups of first- through fourth-graders and met with kindergarteners. Organizers stated the activity was an effort to foster relationships between the safety forces and the students. These events will be held each month, with the exception of December.
