Trinity Health System honored Brooke High School senior Evan Urso, who completed his senior honors project by collecting donations for care packets that were given to patients at the Teramana Cancer Center. Urso spoke with Patient Advocate Marsha Lewis to create an Amazon donation wish list of items for the collection. Items collected will offer entertainment, comfort and health benefits to patients during their time of need. The senior was able to create 200-plus care packets as a way to show his support during patients' times of need. When each patient reaches for an item in the care pack, they will be reminded they are not fighting alone, officials explained. Urso also raised funds through a Brooke T-shirt fundraiser entitled, "No Bruin Fights Alone." Urso thanked the Teramana Cancer Center employees for their help with his project. Their support, along with his family, friends and community, helped to make this project a success. Those taking part in the donation included, from left, Lewis, Luke Urso, Dr. Mohammed Rahman, Evan Urso and Holly Urso.
