An explosive week
St. Paul Catholic School in Weirton had an explosive start to its second-annual STEM week, as Principal James Lesho and STEM Instructor Mallory Osleger were joined by Jennifer Hornyak, superintendent of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. A colorful chemical reaction officially kicked off the school’s week-long push for STEM education. The week included a movie and field trips to the Carnegie Science Center. Participants took part in in-school Mass, science assemblies and a science fair to conclude the week.
