Public library announces upcoming activities

STEUBENVILLE -- The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced its upcoming activities and events, set to take place next week. Children can visit any library branch to pick up a Harry Potter grab-and-go bag beginning Monday, while supplies last. This month, supplies are being provided to make a bowtruckle -- a hand-sized, insect-eating, tree-dwelling magical beast from Harry Potter.

Adults: Learn how to make three unique Italian cookies using the same basic ingredients with Michele Fabbro at 11 a.m. Nov. 23. Samples will be shown. Register to attend.

Teens: Beginning Monday, pick up a grab-and-go craft to make a faux, stained-glass bookmark.

Children: Story Time will be held for children between the ages of 5 and 10 at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Parents can bring their child, ages birth to 2, to Babygarten at 11:30 a.m. Monday. The hour-long lap-time program includes stories and songs. Register to attend.

Children: Grab-and-go craft bags will be available beginning Monday, while supplies last. These bags contain supplies to make a Thanksgiving craft.
