STEUBENVILLE -- Get ready to unleash your creativity -- before and during National Library Week, which runs from April 6-12.
The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County will be hosting the "Great Library Draw-Off!" competition.
Children, teenagers and adults are invited to submit their unique library card designs between March 7 and April 10. Winners in each category will have their designs printed as a limited-edition card that will be available throughout the entire library system, according to library organizers.
The top 10 submissions will be voted for on the library's Facebook page and on Instagram beginning April 14-18.
The winners will be announced May 1. The winning cards will debut June 9 -- just in time for the summer reading program to begin, officials commented.
Don't miss your chance to leave your artistic mark on your libraries and show your best artwork to Jefferson County residents. Beginning March 7, pick up a form at any library location to take part. The Main and Schiappa branches will be offering the following events and activities.
Main Library

Adults: Create a vase using alcohol ink techniques at 5:30 p.m. March 12. Register to attend.
The Mystery Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. March 10 to discuss "Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers," by Jesse Q. Sutanto.
Children: Tot Time will be held for parents who have children ages 2 to 4. The activity is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesdays on March 11, 18 and 25. Tot Time will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays on March 13, 20 and 27. Register to attend.
Teens: Turn a mint tin into a wallet for this grab-and-go craft beginning March 10, while supplies last. The bag is for teens ages 12 to 18.

Children: Help children develop early literacy skills from the start. Babygarten is for parents and children ages birth to 2. The activity will be at 10:30 a.m. March 13 and March 27.
Adults: Learn about the history of tea from the Ohio Tea Co., in Canton at 6 p.m. March 12. Register to attend.
Teens: Give stuffies a new life by turning them into wall art at 6 p.m. March 10. Register to attend.
Join the Cryptid Club each month and receive a passport and grab-and-go craft to take home and make. You'll learn about a new cryptid each month, beginning March 12.
