The Wednesdays in Wintersville committee held a Wines Around the World fundraiser Saturday at Valley Wine Cellar. The purpose of the event was to raise money for the committee's annual festival, which runs from May through October and features businesses, churches and organizations promoting the village. In addition to sampling a selection of wines from various countries, including Argentina, France, Italy, Germany and the United States, businesses donated a selection of food bites and desserts. Among the businesses taking part in the event were, Broken H. Farm, Caramel & Coconut, Cheryl's Diner, Dixon Healthcare Center, Dolce Pizzelles, Elevated Creations, Essence Custom Dining, Exquisite Creations by Joel, James Lash, Cedar One Realty, Murray's Restaurant, Pastaio Cucina Rustica Italiana, Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County, Valley Wine Cellar and 7 Ranges Entertainment.
