GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The following students were named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2024 semester at Grove City College.
Liesl Ray, a senior nursing major from Adena, has been named to the Dean's List with distinction. The 2021 graduate of St. Clairsville High School is the daughter of Monica Ray from Adena.
Kaleb Swearingen, a senior history and social studies second ed. certification major from Toronto, has been named to the Dean's List with distinction. He is a 2020 graduate of Indian Creek High School and the son of Tiffany Swearingen of Toronto.
Jessica Eisenhart, a sophomore special education with elementary ed. major from Wellsville, has been named to the Dean's List with high distinction. She is a 2023 graduate of Beaver Local High School and the daughter of Mark and Barbara Eisenhart of Wellsville.
Students eligible for the Dean's List have a grade-point average of 3.4 to 3.59. For the Dean's List with distinction, a grade-point average of 3.60 to 3.84 must be attained. For the Dean's List with high distinction, one needs a grade-point average of 3.85 to 4.0.

KENT -- The following local students graduated from Kent State University during the Fall 2024 commencement ceremonies.
Receiving their diplomas were: Stella-Ruby Karcher, Hammondsville, master of education; Ryan Maple, Richmond, bachelor of science in nursing; Tommi McConnell, Richmond, master of education; Matthew Bell, Steubenville, bachelor of business administration; Scott Mitchell, Steubenville, bachelor of science in nursing; Anthony Shevlin, Steubenville, associate of arts; Devin Corrao, Toronto, bachelor of business administration; and Brody Krantz, Wintersville, associate of arts.
Students graduating Magna cum laude were Ava Koniski, Amsterdam, bachelor of radiologic imaging science; Taylor Coleman, Bloomingdale, bachelor of arts; Mallory Birney, Hopedale, bachelor of science in education; Jillian Haney, Steubenville, bachelor of science in education; and Connor Suffoletta, Toronto, bachelor of science.
Students graduating with distinction were Bryson Bodo, Bloomingdale, associate of science; Rachael Wayts, Carrollton, associate of arts; Lettie Friona, Steubenville, associate of science; Charles Spencer, Steubenville, associate of science; and Dominic Paterra, Steubenville, associate of science.
