Easter Bunny helping humane animals
WEIRTON — The Easter Bunny is coming to Weirton and area residents are being asked to “hop on over” to Pet Supplies Plus between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Attendees will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny, including children and family pets.
Everyone is welcome to attend, officials commented. For a $15 donation, guests will receive a photo print, along with digital photos.
All of the proceeds raised will go toward the homeless animals residing at the Hancock County Humane Foundation, officials stated.
Revival services planned
STEUBENVILLE — Finley Church will hold revival services with the Rev. Stan Key beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday.
A 6 p.m. service is planned for Sunday evening.
Revival services will continue at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with Key leading the services.
The church is located at 958 Lincoln Ave. in Steubenville.
Key served as president of the Francis Asbury Society in Wilmore, Ky., prior to his transitioning to One Way Ministries in 2022.
He will be joined by gospel music artist and Mingo Junction native Doc Roe, who will lead the singing.
Key will hold Bible studies at 9:30 a.m. Sunday and at 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday.
Finley Church is inviting everyone to attend. An evening nursery will be provided.
Festival of Nations to return
WEIRTON — Following a five-year gap, the Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center is planning to revive the Festival of Nations event.
This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 22 at the Millsop Community Center, located at 3420 Main St. in Weirton.
Several nationalities and groups will participate, officials stated.
Participants will be performing ethnic dances, there will be a variety of ethnic music, display tables will be set up for guests to view various items and an array of ethnic foods will be sold, officials noted.
Admission to the festival and parking will be free.
The community is invited to attend and “travel the world without a passport,” officials commented.
Church to hold blood drive
TORONTO — Crossroads North River Church will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 28 in the church sanctuary, located at 207 North River Ave. in Toronto.

Mighty Golden Wonders to perform
YOUNGSTOWN — The Mighty Golden Wonders will hold their 48th-annual celebration at 5 p.m. May 18 at the Nevels Temple Church of God in Christ, located at 939 Elm St. in Youngstown.
Doors will open at 4 p.m.
The evening’s special guest will be the group George Dean and the Gospel 4/Memphis TN.
Performances will be include musical guests the Anointed Horner Singers from Canton, Half Mile Home from Akron, the Joynettes from Cleveland and Gerald D. Johnson and the Christian Love Community Singers from Akron.
Tickets are on sale, with early bird specials costing $25 through March 31. Advanced tickets will cost $30 from April 1 through 3:59 p.m. May 18, officials noted.
Tickets at the door will be $35. Children 12 and under are free of charge.

Book Club to meet
WELLSBURG — The Brooke County Public Library Book Club will meet in-person and virtually at 5 p.m. March 27 to discuss Jon Krakauer’s “Into the Wild.”

Author to discuss book
WELLSBURG — West Virginia author W.C. Robertson will discuss his books “Tales of Death” and “Unearthing,” at 5 p.m. March 20 in the Elmer Vincent Meeting Room of the Brooke County Public Library.
Robertson will answer questions from the audience and sign copies of his books, which will be available for purchase.
The program is being offered free of charge.

Easter Bunny sending letters
The Friends of the Brooke County Public Library are helping the Easter Bunny to send a personalized letter to boys and girls throughout the area.
Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends are able to request a letter be sent to someone special. Requests can be made from Monday through April 12.
The cost will be $2.50 per letter.
