Stamp Club to hold show
PITTSBURGH -- The 75th-annual Stamp Show of the Wilkinsburg Stamp Club will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 12 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13 at the Holiday Park Fire Hall, located at 415 Old Abers Creek Road in Pittsburgh. Admission and parking will be free of charge. The event will include exhibits, dealers, souvenir sheets, a philatelic market and youth area.

Lenten services planned
WEIRTON -- Lenten services will continue at the Bethlehem Apostolic Temple and Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly through the first week of April, according to the Rev. Darrell Cummings.
Cummings, along with Latisha Cummings, announced Shiloh services will take place at 7:30 p.m. through April 8 at its Weirton location, 3000 Weir Ave.
Bethlehem services will take place at 7:30 p.m. through April 9 at its Wheeling location, 330 Main St.
These services will feature Deacon Ted Freeman, Rebecca Turner, Tanya Parker, Deacon Louis Jones, Janice Peyton and the Cummings.
No services will be held the week of March 31, it was noted. Holy Week services are planned at Shiloh April 15 and April 18, while Bethlehem will hold its services April 16-17 and a special Good Friday service at noon April 18.
The 35th-annual Easter Food Basket Giveaway will be held at 11 a.m. April 19 at North Wheeling Community Dream Center, located at 407 Main St. in Wheeling. Special Easter services are set for April 20, with Bethlehem holding its service at 10:30 a.m. and Shiloh at 12:30 p.m. For information, call (304) 233-8899.
All are welcome to attend any of the services, officials stated. The churches also will hold an expression of love and appreciation to Latisha Cummings March 30, with featured speaker Charlotte Moore of Columbus. The event is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Temple and at 12:30 p.m. at Shiloh.

Special service set at Shiloh
WEIRTON--Shiloh Apostolic Faith Assembly, located at 3000 Weir Ave. in Weirton, will hold a special service at 4 p.m. March 30. The community is invited to attend the "Praise is What I Do," service, where shared talents from various Ohio Valley ministries will address attendees.
The event is sponsored for the Shiloh building fund, according to officials. Rebecca Turner is the program coordinator. For information, call (304) 797-7848.
WIAACC meet
STEUBENVILLE -- The Woman in Action Against Cancer Coalition held its first meeting of the year Tuesday. Members filled 24 bags for the patients at the Terramana Cancer Center who have been diagnosed with cancer for the first time.
Bags consisted of a blanket, hand sanitizer, Chapstick, a fanny bag from Ohio State University, candy, crossword puzzles, a bookmark, nail clippers, pens and a gift card for Bob Evans restaurant. The coalition helps pay for women who have little or no insurance to have an annual mammogram and a pap smear screening. The coalition also helps men to receive prostrate screenings during Minority Health Month.
Officials noted the group holds a special wreath ceremony in October to recognize all breast cancer survivors. In August, members hold a yard sale and vendor show at the Mingo Knights of Columbus hall in Mingo Junction, as well as a banner letter fundraiser where letters are mailed to sponsors for assistance to the nonprofit organization. WIAACC is looking for new volunteers and survivors. Anyone wishing to donate can mail their donation to: P.O. Box 837, Steubenville, OH 43952. Pittsburgh ballet to perform
PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Ballet Theater will perform five classical and contemporary works during "Spring Mix: 5 for 55," in recognition of its 55-year history.
The mixed repertory program will feature three works from the past, and two, new world premieres. The event will take place April 4-6 at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.
The program includes George Balanchine's "Emeralds," Jorma Elo's "First Flash," Dwight Rhoden's "Ave Maria," and the world premier "The Rite of Spring." In addition, the yet-to-be-titled world premiere from Caili Quan will be performed, officials noted. Quan is a former dancer choreographer known for incorporating her Guamanian roots into her work.
"In honor of our 55th anniversary, I am delighted to present these five remarkable works as part of 'Spring Mix: 5 for 55,'" stated Adam McKinney, artistic director of the theater. "These works showcase intricate choreography, the versatility of our PBT artists and powerful, moving ballet at its finest."
Education and Community Engagement programs are planned to help attendees expand the ballet experience. The programs are open to all ticket holders and will be held in the theater's orchestra level on the first floor. No registration is required. An opening night preview for audience members to hear from choreographers, stagers and other artists in the production will take place at 6:45 p.m. April 4; and an artist question-and-answer session will be held following the April 5 performance, officials explained, noting the audience will be able to chat with artists about their roles in the performance.
"Spring Mix: 5 for 55" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 4, 2 p.m. April 5, 7:30 p.m. April 5 and 2 p.m. April 6. Single tickets start at $29 and can be purchased at pbt.org or by calling (412) 456-6666.
