WINTERSVILLE -- Indian Creek High School will hold its 2025 Learning Fair Tuesday, with students and the public invited to attend.
Sponsored by the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America student organization, the free event will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On hand will be representatives from the areas of education, employment, health and the Armed Forces.
Adviser Julie Robinson explained more than a dozen groups have signed up to participate. She said the purpose of the fair is to provide information on what is available to everyone.
"It will highlight local employment opportunities, higher education, Armed Forces, trades and wellness agencies," Robinson said. "We currently have more than a dozen vendors and are planning for more."
Expected to attend are the Army, Kent State University, First National Bank, Belmont College, Wheeling University, Hocking College, Muskingum University, Ohio University and OU Eastern, Manpower, Youngstown State University, the Ohio State University, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, the University of Akron and JATC Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 495.
Robinson was confirming more vendors, noting some of the high school's organizations will be participating as well.
Students include those who are planning a trip to Paris and Spain; the Ink Society; the Creek Squad tech crew; students promoting the hellbender program with the school's ambassador, Chief; the FFA and those assisting in the Bags to Benches plastic bag collection.
Robinson stated the performing arts students will preview their spring production of "Shrek" in the auditorium, while the high school and elementary choirs will take the stage.
Business students will screen podcasts with local business leaders near the collaboration stairs and Students Against Destructive Decisions will sponsor dinner in the cafeteria.
