The Edison High School Beta Club did its part to support all of the animals at the Jefferson County Humane Society in Wintersville. Members of the club conducted a collection for dogs and cats residing at the shelter. President Katie Phillips contacted the nonprofit organization to inquire on what was needed. The students gathered all of the necessary items being sought, including dog food, cat food, pet treats, toys and cleaning supplies. The donation was taken to the humane society in the hopes that it will help the area’s four-legged friends who are in need of a home. Those who delivered the contributions included, Alivia Kowalczyk, left, and Shayla Shannon.
