Library announces upcoming activities and events
STEUBENVILLE — The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County has announced its upcoming activities and events for the week of April 27 through May 3.

The 25 cent used book sale is returning to the library. This year’s event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 3 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4. The event attracts more than 1,000 people who purchase books, vinyls, DVDs and video games for one quarter apiece, according to library officials. The sale is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Food trucks will be on site and a 50/50 drawing will be held. Officials stated those interested in joining the Friends of the Library group will receive early access to the sale items. To join, e-mail the group at plsjfriends@gmail.com
Have something that needs repaired or looking to start a project? Bring your project to the library for expert advice, the use of machines and available materials during Mending Monday. The activity will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 28. Re-Craft Steubenville and Strong Towns have joined with the library to make the event possible.
Adults: Book Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. April 30. Members are reading “The Nightingale,” by Kristin Hannah. Call to join the discussion.
The Books on Tap Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. April 27 for a discussion at the Hightower Brewing Co. Call the library to attend and find out what the club is reading.
